Brownies, another round of bagels, and copycat lemon crumbl cookies

My kids love brownies. They prefer a more fudgy brownie . These lovelies were perfect. The recipe called for bittersweet chocolate and cocoa powder. So, you know it’s going to hit the mark on your chocolate cravings. I used 65g of fresh milled flour to make these. I served these brownies with some Coco Whip and they were delicious. The coco whip is a nice dairy free alternative to cool whip. It is amazing.

I made another round of fresh milled sourdough bagels this week. I’m always trying to perfect the technique. I used Barley Malt syrup instead of honey or brown sugar to boil the bagels and this made a huge difference in the overall texture of the bagels. These bagels used 560g of fresh milled flour and 120g of active sourdough starter. I got to play around with my newest tool… a pizza/bread stone. The stone allowed for an even bake on these bagels. Highly recommend.

Cookie of the Week:

Crumbl Lemon Frosted Sourdough Cookie! These are amazing, but let’s be honest. They are little cakes disguised as cookies. They are the perfect combination of lemony sweetness. I used 330g of fresh milled flour and 47g of active starter to make these cookies.
